Essential Duties
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with the college and school’s objectives.
  • Oversee the management of all marketing channels, including digital, email, print, and social media, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.
  • Lead the public relations efforts, including media interactions, press releases, and public events, to enhance the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts’ profile.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Brand Strategy and Management to ensure cohesive brand messaging and to support their objectives through targeted marketing efforts; providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders on how to properly use our brand (name, logos, images, etc.).
  • Creating personalized and memorable experiences through dynamic, relevant content delivered across multiple media platforms for students, the public, and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and edit content.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities and challenges, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Manage projects, ensuring all initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a high return on investment; building and maintaining analytics and reports, to measure effectiveness of marketing and communications investments and activities.
  • Coach, supervise, mentor, and build a high-performing marketing and communications team.
  • Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and their impact on overall business goals.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field and eight years of experience in marketing and product development, which includes five years in a supervisory capacity; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing tools and strategies and able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; elevated story- telling skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
  • Extensive experience leading diverse teams and fostering collaboration across cross-functional areas and schools. Recognized for effectively identifying needs, establishing clear guidelines, and meeting definitive timelines. Skilled in uniting teams to balance individual needs with collective goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects, initiatives, and events.
  • Experience working in higher education with proven ability to advance college/school goals tied to academic program marketing and student enrollment.
  • Analytical abilities, specifically related to understanding data sets and managing process requirements with ability to summarize complex and technical information in a clear and concise format.
  • Evidence of being a self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility on all projects from start to finish.
Working Environment
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
