Position Summary:

A Claim Technician working full-time, in person. Individual will provide technical assistance in the process of handling commercial insurance claims, in coordination and administration of duties on behalf of our clients. The ASU Group is seeking a Claim Technician to join our growing, highly congenial workplace. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace and customer relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel, schedules appointments, signs for incoming packages, and assists clients;
• Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations;
• Opening and scanning mail;
• Receives, reviews and processes all forms associated with claim processing;
• Enters claims/benefits information into personal computer and pulls required reports;
• Responds to calls from physicians and medical facilities requesting verification of job-related injuries, health insurance coverage and/or medical payments;

Additional Considerations:

Required:

• High school diploma
• Two (2) or more years related claim processing experience

Desired:

• Insurance related experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
