Computer Scientist/Tester

ATEC is looking for a Computer Scientist to test and maintain complex computer systems for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Enterprise Services Engineering & Test Support Subteam Team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support enterprise test and evaluation, automated testing.
• Support application configuration in Linux environment and use ansible.
• Interact with multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform certificate registration/revocation with certificate authority for encryption and PKI authentication purpose.Perform system authorization and certificate management.
• Support 2nd level support tasks on site.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Required:

• Motivated in learning.
• Testing of requirements and suggest modifications.
• Able to support applications in command line environments.
• Detail oriented in documentation (system test documentation, test cases).
• Excellent communication and able to provide status report.
• Work independently.

Preferred:

• Understanding of DMZ, LDAP, network load balancer (such as F5).
• Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure, certificate authority.
• Experience with Ansible or python or any scripting languages.
• Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Git.
• Experience with virtual machine environment, Linux/command line/Unix

EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor?s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and seven (7) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field

OR

• Master?s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
• Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years

PAY RANGE:

• $65,000 ? $83,000
