Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the commercial real estate industry with a proven track record in sales. This role involves identifying and prospecting new business opportunities, nurturing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and conducting in-depth market research to grow our portfolio of managed shopping centers. The Business Development Associate will work closely with and be overseen by our Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and Prospect New Business Opportunities: Actively seek out and engage potential clients through various channels to expand our portfolio.
  • Nurture and Maintain Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct Market Research: Perform comprehensive market research to identify key players and emerging trends in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Present Services to Potential Clients: Effectively communicate the value of our services to potential clients through presentations and meetings.
  • Grow Client Base: Develop strategies to increase our client base and manage a portfolio of managed shopping centers.
  • Perform High-Level Discovery Outbound Calls: Initiate outbound calls to potential clients to discover their needs and qualify opportunities.
  • Facilitate Email Campaigns: Coordinate and execute email campaigns to engage potential clients and provide information about our services.
  • Schedule Appointments for Client Meetings: Arrange and confirm appointments for the management team with prospective clients.
  • Utilize Marketing Tools: Leverage marketing tools and technology to provide detailed and accurate information to prospective clients.
  • Assist in Defining Marketing Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives and strategies.
  • Coordinate with Managers: Work closely with appropriate managers to ensure qualified business opportunities are properly managed and pursued.
  • Assist with Client Onboarding: Help set up new clients and properties with our property management team, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into our management system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the commercial real estate industry is required. Prior sales experience or experience as a title representative is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients. Proficiency in using marketing tools and technology.
  • Ability to conduct thorough market research and analyze data to identify opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work closely with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field a plus

*Job will be based out of Southern California with travel to Arizona as needed. Salary based on experience.
