Position: Maintenance Assistant
Reports to: Facilities & Security Coordinator and Lead School Administrator
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience: Minimal experience working at a school or in a maintenance and/or custodial position
Certification Required: none

Job Duties:

1. Clean lunchroom following lunch periods.
2. Clean, stock and sanitize staff and student bathrooms.
3. Assist with building maintenance, including painting, floor refinishing, etc.
4. Clean all areas assigned, including but not limited to vacuuming, scrubbing, sweeping, dusting, cleaning windows, etc.
5. Remove garbage.
6. Maintain a pleasant appearance of the grounds and building.
7. Ensure outside walk ways are clear of snow and ice.
8. Keep walk ways and entrances clear and clean.
9. Be courteous and responsive to staff and student facility needs.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Custodial duties include the ability to stoop, bend, kneel, ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time, use ladders or electronic lifts to a height of 20-25 feet and the ability to lift / carry 25-50 lbs of supplies, products, or materials.
