ATI is currently looking to hire a Engineer I for our manufacturing facility in Albany, Oregon. This is a day shift position and hours are somewhat flexible. In this role you will report to a Plant Engineering section leader. You will be responsible for providing support to the business by executing capital and major maintenance projects, optimizing existing manufacturing processes, and being a technical resource to resolve equipment and or infrastructure breakdowns. You will spend about 50% of your time as boots on the ground in the plant and about 50% of the time in the office.
A Engineer I is a problem solver and a strong communicator who will have to quickly develop a strong understanding of the operation to identify and develop efficient methods and processes. You’ll work with cross functional teams and departments across the plant along with a unionized workforce.
In order to become successful in this role, the individual will need to quickly learn ATI’s processes, equipment, systems and procedures to effectively lead efforts to ensure we are meeting our goals and objectives. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, good time management, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful Engineer I.
