ATI has a current need for a full-time Geologist I. The successful candidate will work closely with senior geologists and project managers to support our clients' needs and drive our company's mission forward. The projects will vary in The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple projects primarily across the US including multi-year investigation and remediation contracts, and emerging contaminant (PFAS) investigations and remediation.

 Responsibilities

• Conduct geological surveys and field investigations, collecting samples and data in accordance with project requirements.
• Understand and identify various soil lithologies.
• Assist in the analysis of geological data using various tools and software applications.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute geological insights to broader project goals.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and industry standards in all aspects of work.

In addition, the successful candidate will have a willingness to travel to various destinations and be responsible for office work under the direction of individual project managers. Must be a team-oriented person willing to conduct a variety of field assignments and write cohesive report sections on the evaluation of investigative and remediation results.

Required/Preferred Skills:

Must be able to execute multiple tasks concurrently as field assistant or field team leader; lift and carry 40 pounds of field equipment; excellent communication and organizational skills; experience working under detailed quality assurance/quality control programs. Candidate must be detailed oriented and perform the necessary quality checks when submitting reports, working with GIS figures or analyzing data.

Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office applications. GIS and CAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of geological principles, methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in GIS, CAD, and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Head Office, Columbia, MD; Working remotely is acceptable as well.

Working Hours: Normal Work Hours – Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
