You'll be responsible for assisting with accounts payable, member account maintenance and month-end financial close processes along with analyzing club financial performance. Must be able to work on Saturday for month-end closing if necessary. Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Assist the Controller with the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, approvals, and timely payments to vendors
Member Account Maintenance: Assist the Controller with member account maintenance, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and excellent member service regarding financial inquiries and statements
Month-End Financial Close: Assist in the month-end financial close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
Financial Analysis: Utilize Microsoft Power BI and other analytical tools to analyze club financial performance, identify trends, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights into revenue and expense projections
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, club policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation
Other duties as assigned by the CFO or Controller
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CFA certification preferred
2 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience in the hospitality or leisure industry is a plus
