The Atlanta BeltLine stands out as one of the most extensive urban revitalization initiatives in the United States. This ambitious project, spanning a historic 22-mile railway corridor, integrates versatile trails, public parks, transit options, affordable housing and commercial affordability. We bolster connectivity among intown neighborhoods, foster economic growth, and promote sustainability. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is tasked with the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of the project. ABI's endeavors encompass the creation of 33 miles of trails, new parks, streetscape enhancements, vibrant public art installations, cultural events, and the generation of over 50,000 employment opportunities and 5,600 affordable housing units in adjacent BeltLine neighborhoods. ABI is dedicated to championing equity and inclusivity both within its organizational framework and across the project's entirety.
This position reports to the Vice President of Communications and Media Relations and collaborates closely with fellow communication team members. The role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator entails providing support for marketing and communication endeavors within the organization. Responsibilities encompass managing and orchestrating the production process of creative projects, overseeing signage on the trail, coordinating campaigns and events, aiding in content creation and dissemination across ABI’s owned communication channels, and ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
The ideal candidate must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, exhibit exemplary organizational prowess, possess adept multitasking abilities, and flourish amidst an environment characterized by significant expansion, diversity, and flux. Superior writing, listening, and oral communication skills are imperative, along with the capability to craft polished, compelling content under tight deadlines, suitable for various mediums such as print and digital platforms. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate familiarity with the objectives of the Atlanta BeltLine project and an understanding of Atlanta's neighborhoods. The marketing and communications coordinator will promote the vision, mission and core values of ABI while fostering a collegial work environment.
