Hotel: Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Room Service Associate Full time Atrium SPIRIT – where teamwork, passion and appreciation ignite service excellence Profile: Telecommute: No Bonus Eligible: No Direct Reports: No Reports To: Executive Chef, Banquet Manager or All Purpose Manager Equipment: Uniform Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the Room Service Associate is to provide guests with an excellent room service experience. Work Performed: The Room Service Server will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments: Presents menus, answer guest questions, and suggest food and beverage items; Take food and beverage orders, relaying them to the kitchen; Serve and deliver room service items to guests; Compute bill and accepts payment, tracking sales receipts; Report tips for tax processing; Maintain wait station by keeping area tidy, clean, disinfected and stocked with glasses, silverware, and related supplies; Set-up, delivery and presentation of room service orders and VIP amenities; Coordinate amenity delivery request in connection with the kitchen department; Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management and Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. Qualifications: Required Prior Experience: Prior customer service experience Preferred Prior Experience: Six (6) months of previous server, and/or cashier experience Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Licenses/ Certification: Food Safety Training certified or become certified within first 60 days of employment. Alcohol Awareness certified or become certified within first 60 days of employment Preferred Technology: Previous experience with Micros operating system Physical: Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally Able to lift 10lbs regularly Able to push/pull 20lbs regularly Able to bend and squat repeatedly Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift Other: Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays __________________________________________________ When you’re an Atrium Associate, you’re a part of a crucial workforce providing the ultimate ‘Home Away From Home’ for our guests.
