Description

Overview/Function: The Vendor Delivery Specialist holds responsibility for the delivery and set-up of vending equipment at Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company customer locations. This position will also support the product delivery team by fulfilling routes as needed. This includes: making timely deliveries to various customer locations. They may also help in setting out and/or rotating new product and adjusting point-of-sale displays.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Follow delivery and set-up orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Delivery and setup vending equipment, including large cooler equipment, vending machines, shelving, and setting appropriate refrigeration levels
  • Provide effective customer education and training as needed on equipment operations and use
  • Switch-out equipment as needed, and return
  • Follow all safety regulations to ensure safety for themselves and customer(s)
  • Ensure professional contact with customers, and maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times in order to favorably represent the company and iconic Coca-Cola brand image.
  • Effectively communicate with customer and Atlantic Bottling staff
  • Ethical conduct is expected at all times.
  • Potential to assist route delivery as schedule and needs arise
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Class E License required
  • High school diploma/GED. 
  • Prior moving experience is preferred; vending equipment repair experience is ideal
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to move/lift/shift/manipulate large equipment on a consistent basis
  • Previous experience utilizing moving equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, dolleys, etc.) is needed
  • No greater than 2 moving violations, and no OWIs in the last five years
  • Excellent customer service communication skills in order to interact with customers. Must provide professional contact and appearance with customers which upholds Atlantic Bottlings brand image.
  • Ability to read and follow directions and work orders
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols
  • Customer-focused and an excellent team-player.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
  • Some light computer experience is helpful.

Additional:

  • The role will travel to various customer sites; each environment will differ as a result.
  • This position is very active and requires the employee to stay alert and focused while driving. They will frequently lift and/or move large, heavy equipment (such as coolers, vending equipment). Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury, but the individual will be asked to move, lift, shift, and manipulate equipment weighing up to 200 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The delivery specialist will frequently interact with customers. The ability to climb stairs is also needed. 
  • Extensive day travel will be required with this role.
  • To accomplish their tasks, the position will need to work around variety of weather environments which Iowa offers (i.e. sun, rain, sleet, rain, snow, cold, heat)
  • Work hours varies, but typically day hours Monday-Friday. If assisting on a route, the hours generally are 6:30 am until the route is complete.
