Glaucoma Glaucoma is a condition that causes damage to your eye's optic nerve and gets worse over time. It's often associated with a buildup of pressure inside the eye. Glaucoma tends to be inherited and may not show up until later in life. Without treatment, glaucoma can cause total permanent blindness within a few years. Diabetic Eye Disease Diabetic eye disease refers to a group of eye problems that people with diabetes may face as a complication of diabetes. Retinal Disease / Macular Degeneration The retina is a layer of tissue in the back of your eye that senses light and sends images to your brain. At the center of the retina is an area called the macula. It provides the sharp, central vision needed for reading, driving and seeing fine detail. Comprehensive Eye Care Our practice involves primary eye care with a significant emphasis on cataract and refractive surgery, including Lasik and new technology lens implants.
