Who You Are:
We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Refractive Technician that is detail oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required. $3,000 sign-on bonus will be given.
What You'll Do:
- Facilitate office-based refractive surgical procedures, specializing in advanced techniques like LASIK and PRK.
- Provide comprehensive support to patients undergoing procedures, including assistance with drops, addressing queries, and alleviating concerns.
- Extend a warm and professional welcome to patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Gather detailed patient histories efficiently, ensuring all pertinent information is documented accurately.
- Conduct precise assessments of visual acuity to inform treatment plans effectively.
- Skillfully perform manifest refractions to refine vision correction needs.
- Utilize advanced technology to obtain intraocular pressure measurements and other diagnostic data.
- Conduct a range of diagnostic tests with expertise, leveraging cutting-edge equipment such as OCT, VF, Pentacam, Lenstar, and Fundus cameras to provide comprehensive evaluations.
What You Bring:
- Experience with refractive surgery such as LASIK and PRK.
- Strong Refractometry Skills.
- Allegretto Wave Laser Certification.
- O.A/ C.O.T certification.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be willing to travel between offices
