We are seeking a dedicated Program Facilitator to work hands-on, inspiring and managing youth, coordinating course schedules, delivering high-quality facilitation, and maintaining partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate lab-based youth programs.
  • Communicate with teachers and school administration to coordinate transportation and other logistics.
  • Create and document curricula with mentors and program manager.
  • Maintain relationships with STEM mentors from the startup and entrepreneurial community.
  • Plan and facilitate community outreach and teacher professional development.
  • Engage with STEM mentors to create dynamic activities showcasing workplace skills and career pathways.
  • Evaluate program activities, including maintaining student attendance and mentor volunteer records.
  • Collaborate with development and marketing teams to promote the program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with middle and/or high school-aged youth.
  • Teaching experience in Informal Science and STEM education program development is preferred.
  • Experience working in Philadelphia middle or high schools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or STEM field.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to confidently manage classrooms with agility and attention to student needs.
  • Ability to engage different types of learners in hands-on curricula.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and exemplify Science Center values.
  • Organize multiple tasks efficiently with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in workshop and lab environments, engaging with various populations.
  • Able to perform occasional travel and work non-traditional hours based on event schedules or operational needs.
