Job Overview - Senior Accountant:
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join their team and support financial operations. In this Senior Accountant role, you will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, conducting account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Location: Wilmington, DE
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000/year bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
- Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and manage journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconciliations: Complete account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Inventory Analysis: Perform detailed inventory analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements to provide insights and support strategic planning.
- Reporting: Execute ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support various departments and business needs.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional accounting experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in Excel, ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently.
- Attributes: Ability to maintain confidentiality, willingness to learn unique software, positive attitude, team player, organized, detail-oriented, and flexible.
