Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Maintain all DOT and driver qualification records and reports required by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Regularly monitor DOT compliance systems, review hours of service records, and assign driver training.
- Assist with compliance activities, including gathering data from audits, online training, MVR process, random testing, post-injury/accident testing, and related programs.
- Assist in the monitoring and reporting of Monthly Safety Training and other items requiring regular reporting.
- Administrative Support:
- Utilize software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain updated spreadsheets and database administration for the Safety & Compliance department.
- Prepare and process reports for management.
- Coordinate and organize training events for branches.
- Communication & Troubleshooting:
- Serve as the first point of contact for assisting employees with basic troubleshooting for compliance systems.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Monitor communications on behalf of the Director when otherwise engaged, ensuring important items are brought to his/her attention in a timely manner.
- Confidentiality & Professionalism:
- Always maintain strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the company's mission, vision, and core values.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in the safety and compliance field. (DOT Experience Preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and accomplish goals and objectives within given timelines.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Ability to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with limited oversight.
