Role: Industrial Engineer/ Production Control / Planner Coordinator

Duration: Midland, Georgia

Duration: Full Time

Scope:

  • Conducts daily, weekly, and/or monthly parts/material audit and physical cycle count and verifies alignment with SAP (parts number verification, batch number verification, proper part physical location)
  • Act on all matters pertaining to schedules, status, and inventory and translate, prepare and assign meaningful and functional productivity plans to meet established master schedules for customers
  • Provide detailed WIP status reports for customer calls
  • Monitor orders in WIP, replace rejected materials, and facilitate production holds
  • Inventory reduction through the development and implementation of an internal Kanban system
  • Plan, coordinate and control interdepartmental activity within quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, production and logistic
  • Develop material requirements from BOM's, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate the timely delivery of critically need hardware
  • Coordinate and expedite flow of materials meet production requirements
  • Participates in build schedule generation to ensure proper scheduling of program requirements
  • Sets priorities with Functional and Line Managers to ensure that Products are properly supported and will meet the program build schedule
  • Prepares and presents manufacturing performance and status reports
  • Understanding of Line of Balance (LOB) and scheduling tools

Materials Manager. Position requires the ability to effectively use and implement planning parameters, business planning and integration techniques, and a high degree product and manufacturing process knowledge.

The position is responsible for strategic planning, detailed scheduling, rough-cut capacity planning, capacity requirements planning, material analysis and planning, new product introduction, change control coordination and execution, purchase part requisitioning, supplier scheduling, lead time reduction, inactive and obsolete inventory dispositions, systems data integrity, and effective measurements.

Major challenges include developing a stable and responsive schedule in multiple areas in accordance with the first level MPS by balancing supply with demand to meet customer requirements, sourcing decisions, supplier partnering, logistics, and cost analysis. Major emphasis to be placed on increasing manufacturing throughput, reducing lead time, increasing inventory turns, and improving customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management and/or process improvement methodologies, preferably in the aerospace industry. Productive interactions with factory workers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
