Atlas Crossing is Hiring a Government Affairs Intern Near Washington, DC

Atlas Crossing is a public affairs and strategic intelligence firm founded in 2018. Atlas Crossing provides client management, coalition advisory, and public affairs consulting services. The firm boasts extensive experience on Capitol Hill as consultants for a wide array of clients — from Fortune 500 companies to non-profit trade associations to political candidates and sitting Members of Congress. Atlas Crossing develops innovative strategies to engage policymakers on behalf of clients and provides insight on how to manage risk and create opportunities. Our diverse portfolio of clients allows us to provide an internship experience that fits your interest. Whether that be issue areas such as transportation, financial services, cybersecurity, or healthcare, our clients are constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation. While Atlas Crossing is a boutique firm, we are results-oriented and depend on our interns to be very involved and engaged with our senior staff as they craft and execute legislative strategies for our clients. This is a paid internship opportunity available on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Position Summary: Atlas Crossing seeks a hard-working Government Affairs Intern to support the firm's advocacy, issue tracking, and client management efforts for the upcoming fall semester.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft client-facing memos on congressional hearings, legislation, and other public policy issues.
  • Conduct research on various issues that affect our clients and potential new clients.
  • Assist in execution of client fly-in meetings and craft supporting background documents for senior staff and clients.
  • Track legislation, regulation, federal contracting opportunities, and closely monitor relevant events.
  • Perform administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to complete projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science or related field preferred.
  • Intern experience on Capitol Hill, government agencies, or at government affairs firm preferred.
