atlas integrated security is Hiring a Low-Voltage Technician Near Las Vegas, NV

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and servicing low-voltage systems including alarm systems, CCTV, automatic doors, access control, network infrastructure, and structured cabling, as well as mechanical door hardware, such as lock sets and door closers. Must have reliable transportation to get selves and tools to client job sites throughout the valley and be able to follow detailed instructions as well as use reasoning skills to apply existing skills and knowledge to new, but similar situations. The technician is responsible for representing the company in a competent, professional manner, ensuring customers' projects are completed in as timely, courteous, and thorough a manner as possible. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with clients to install systems on-site

  • Respond to repair calls
  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and instructions to determine how to best install the components and wiring
  • Proper and safe usage of electronic diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Test all systems and troubleshoot any issues
  • Train the client how to use the system
  • Write reports explaining the work performed

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research products to find and use resources such as installation manuals and tech support.
  • Reach out to management or other team members to help resolve issues when other resources are insufficient.

Stay on task and manage time effectively, especially when working alone.

  • Work efficiently, with a priority on quality workmanship with professional acumen
  • Possess effective verbal and written communicators
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Able to read wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Knowledge of use of diagnostic tools 
  • Knowledge of safe use of power tools
  • Able to lift minimum of 60 pounds
  • Able to climb a ladder / access crawl space
  • Use tools with repetitive / manipulative motion
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle / maintain an active driver license
  • Minimum 2 years experience doing similar work
