Primary Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintenance of the general ledger.
2. Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting process in compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
3. Collaborate with external auditors to support the company's external financial reporting requirements, facilitating audit processes and addressing auditor inquiries.
4. Conduct monthly analysis of earnings and other key financial variances, providing insights and recommendations to management based on the findings.
5. Support special projects and initiatives, including the implementation of new accounting standards, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
6. Continuously assess and streamline existing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
7. Execute and maintain required internal controls, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintaining documentation as necessary.
8. Prepare ledger entries, account reconciliations, and internal control documentation prepared by the corporate accounting team, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
9. Assist in fulfilling ad-hoc financial reporting needs as they arise, providing timely and accurate information to support decision-making.

Requirements:

• 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience in the insurance industry
• CPA and managerial experience required
