We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Accounting Professional to join our team and grow with us. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial transactions and reporting for a division within our company. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining compliance with GAAP standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making at both divisional and organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Integrity and Compliance:
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial transactions in adherence to GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger, oversee monthly close process, perform reconciliations, and analyze variances.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and cash forecasts.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate management reports for review by the Executive Team.
• Monitor and analyze sales, expenses, and profit projections against actual performance.
• Provide clear explanations for variances and propose actionable improvements to the planning process.
• Strategic Communication:
• Regularly communicate financial performance, business opportunities, and challenges to ownership and senior management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
• Audit and Compliance:
• Assist with annual audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Process Improvement and Systems Enhancement:
• Continuously improve business systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Develop and manage budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs) critical to business success.
• Transactional Accounting:
• Post journal entries and reconcile financial data to maintain accurate records.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions promptly.
• Leadership and Growth:
• Manage finance functions of the assigned division, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CCO) and CEO.
• Play a pivotal role in building and scaling the accounting function as the division expands.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience (X years) in a Controller or similar role, demonstrating comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively to senior management.
