The position is on the finance team of a bank with locations in NYC and Chicago. This position supports the CFO and Controller. The candidate must possess advanced Excel skills (including experience and interest in using Power BI, Power Pivot and Power Query or Tableau/Alteryx) and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities May Include:

o Review of the month-end close & consolidation process for 30 entities (including international), requiring collaboration with teams across the finance function and broader organization

o Prepare monthly financial presentations delivered to executive committee

o Participate in the development and preparation of the annual investor meeting presentation, which includes a comprehensive annual overview of company’s financial performance

o Assist with investor reporting including preparation of quarterly financial statements and partner’s capital statements

o Prepare consolidated GAAP financial statements presented on a quarterly and annual basis

o Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborating with other team members and digital transformation team to streamline and automate processes

o Assist with providing senior executives information vital to the decision-making processes including developing and managing financial budgets, budget versus actual reporting, and key performance indicators

o Design and prepare leadership reports to support management decisions covering both front and back office

o Prepare financial dashboard and scorecard reports summarizing revenue and expense metrics by client, location, and department, integral to assessment of business performance.

Prepare/ Review quarterly valuations and accounting for interests in the merchant bank’s funds and outside investments

o Coach and mentor more junior accounting team members
