Ready to join a Global Investment Firm in NYC that is growing their Tax team?

This is a Tax opportunity here in NYC at a leading Global Investment Firm in NYC that invests across multiple asset classes that includes Private Equity, Real Estate, Energy, and Hedge Funds so the ideal candidate should have experience in this space either from public accounting or another Investment Firm.

This role is open due to growth and would be joining an incredibly talented team of around 12 people.

They have a beautiful office in NYC, with incredible amenities that includes chef prepared meals daily, unlimited snacks, a barista, gym, etc. Compensation will be extremely competitive, as they’re prepared to invest to attract and retain talent, and will include base, bonus, and equity.

This candidate should be familiar with Form 1065 Schedule K-1 reporting, and fully understand the reporting and impact of Schedule K-1 line items to Form 1040 individual income tax return.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage the tax compliance related to employee and upper tier fund entities

• Oversee distributions of fund activity regarding determining taxable income for employee and upper tier entities

• Manage and oversee the computation, holdbacks, required payments and tracking of pass-through entity tax for partnerships and employee population

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with external tax advisors, finance, legal, and other cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of partnership (Form 1065) tax compliance experience from a public accounting firm or out of the private sector in a similar industry.
• Understands the reporting and impact of Schedule K-1 line items to individual (Form 1040 ) income tax return
• Understands the PTET regime, including the impact to individuals in various jurisdictions
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
