Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inputting a high volume of data from various sources into our database, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our business processes and requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage large amounts of data efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input data from various source documents into the company's database.
- Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
- Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check the output.
- Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of information.
- Assist in developing and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for data entry tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to clarify data-related issues.
- Perform regular data quality checks and audits to ensure ongoing data integrity.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification will be an asset.
- Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
- Basic understanding of databases.
- Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
- Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
