Job Title: Design Drafter III
Type: Contract - 6 Months
Pay: $45.00-$56.00/hr
Location: 35 Cherry Hill Drive, Danvers, MA
We are seeking a Design Drafter III for a very important client.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned as business needs are dynamic.
Concept layouts of jigs and fixtures, to meet customer needs
Follow through on concept layouts, to produce the detail design of jigs and fixtures
PDM management of design documents
Work with the team to assemble machinery, and operate additive manufacturing machinery, laser machinery and other future technologies
Attend meetings as a Subject Matter Expert based on designs completed
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. Utilizes computeraided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM, CATIA, ProEngineer or Solidworx. Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor, working under limited supervision, and providing assistance and training to lower level employees. Runs minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports. Organizational Impact: Performs technical activities requiring considerable judgment and may have ownership of minor projects. Work consists of technical tasks that are typically not routine. Innovation and Complexity: Technical problems faced are general, and may require some analysis to understand and resolve. Expected to independently propose solutions to problems for supervisor review. Communication and Influence: Communicates typically with internal contacts . Obtains and provides technical information on matters of moderate importance to the job area. Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires complete and broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education. Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
