We are seeking an Engineer, Manufacturing for a very important client.
The position of Manufacturing Engineer, I within our EP business unit located at Plymouth, Minnesota. In this role you will provide technical support to the production released catheter and introducer products and technical support to new product teams for design for manufacturability and product transfer activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supports continuing production and transfer of new products involving Molded sub-assemblies
· Supports process validation activities as required.
· Generates, justifies, and changes manufacturing documentation
· Assists with purchase of new capital equipment and/or upgrades of existing capital equipment. Perform or manage the installation, operational, or process qualifications.
· Participates in cross-functional teams comprised of representatives from R&D, Production, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments focused on design for manufacturing of new products
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering
· 2-4 years in a Plastic Molding manufacturing engineering experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Knowledge of manufacturing processing involving manual assembly and packaging.
· Experience with statistical techniques (i.e. DOE, SPC), test method development, lean manufacturing principles, creation of value stream maps, FMEA, design for manufacturing, tooling design.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, while being able to communicate with all levels within the organization.
· Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Visio); and the
· Successful track record of being ability to work independently as well as a member to a team.
COMPETENCIES:
· Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
· CAD Experience, ProE or Solidworks
· SAP
Molding / Plastics Processing Experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for this position, not required
• Small ME team – floor/project experience
• Good documentation skills
• 2-4 years’ experience Molding / Plastics Processing Experience (5 years may be overqualified)
• Worker will be working on the line
• Windchill and SAP experience nice to have
• CAD or drawings experience nice to have
• Molding press experience highly preferred
• Process improvement experience highly preferred
• Following SOPs
• Front line / floor support heavy position
• Interacting w/the operators, quality and other mfg engineers
