Description of Company: Our client, a well-known law firm in Tampa, is seeking a Paralegal to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal to join a well-established firm and be part of a fantastic office culture.
Salary/Hourly Rate: 60-65K
Position Overview: The Paralegal will assist the Office Manager and Lead Paralegal in the procurement and summarization of documentation for insurance defense cases. This position offers the ability to work closely with attorneys and ample growth opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Summarizing records.
- Complete administrative and clerical procedures including word processing, electronic/physical records management, and e-filing.
- Drafting, proofreading, and dispersing legal documents as directed by Attorneys.
- Corresponding with clients.
- Handling tasks as directed by Attorneys and Lead Paralegal in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience with obtaining and summarizing medical records.
- 3 years' experience as a Paralegal.
- Experience on the defense side as opposed to plaintiff is preferred.
