Production Planner

Summary

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) in Gilbert, AZ is currently seeking a Production Planner. The Production Planner willperform planning and scheduling tasks supporting assigned programs to ensure that program cost and schedule performance are systematically and consistently achieved. They will utilize all company resources to ensure our customer’s requests and all quality requirements have been successfully met and are documented within our ERP system.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing production plan and inventory scheduling for material planning
• Manage ERP entries and date for production releases.
• Utilize reports systems to monitor program schedules against plan and current forecasts.
• Identifies the impact of schedule variance on critical path and communicates to management.
• Collaborates with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering to review execution of production schedules, build plans, backorder status, and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
• Participates and contributes to process/quality improvement teams and/or initiatives. Identifies and recommends improvements to scheduling processes, practices or materials which lead to positive results in product quality.
• Resolve problems plus enhance improvements associated with inventory flow plus production control.
• Ensure conformance with all ISO requirements.
• Identifies resource conflicts and communicates to management and production staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or 2-3 years of manufacturing support experience in planning, quality, purchasing, scheduling.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and to accept and adapt to change quickly.
• Commitment to working in a team environment.
• Capability to working independently with limited supervision.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work is typically performed in an office setting.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
• Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
