Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing home systems and possess skills in behavior management, first aid, vital signs, resident rights, caregiving, dementia care, and memory care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents
- Implement behavior management techniques to support residents' well-being
- Ensure residents' rights are respected and upheld at all times
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with medication administration under the direction of healthcare professionals
Skills
- Proficiency in nursing home systems and protocols
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques
- Knowledge of first aid procedures
- Ability to monitor and record vital signs accurately
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy
