Position: Center Standards Manager, (Student Personnel Manager)

Facility: Atterbury Job Corps Center

Location: 3129 E Edinburgh St, Edinburgh, IN 46124

Salary: $50,000 annually

Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday; Days

Position summary: Directly supervises the centers standards officer and clerk. Responsible for the operation of the centers standards function, which includes the discipline and behavioral adjustment system, incentive and management of significant incidents.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Provide overall supervision for center standards through effective planning, staff scheduling and student participation in establishment of rules.
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide staff training and implement personnel changes as approved by the center director and coordinated with HR
  • Develop and monitor departmental budget, control expenditures, review and recommend changes to budget authorizations
  • Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting student standards of conduct; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall center objectives
  • Determine and administer disciplinary action for students who have violated student standard of conduct; counsel students when their behavior on and off center is inappropriate

Education and experience requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is needed. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
  • A minimum of three years of related experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Computer proficiency is needed.
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record is required.
