Position OverviewAs an Estate & Trust Administration Assistant, you will assist clients with critical legal matters related to estate and trust administration. Your key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
  • Draft pleadings and filings for attorney review to assist clients through the probate and administrative process.
  • Independently maintain required deadlines to ensure timely filings with courts and agencies.
  • Organize, prepare, and finalize various legal and financial forms critical to the proper administration of an estate and/or trust.
  • Meet with clients to complete and verify the execution of legal and financial forms for estate, trust, or guardianship matters.
  • Coordinate with courts and agencies to ensure proper filing and administration.
  • Build relationships with clients and their professional contacts with excellent communication and work product.
  • Work with attorneys and fellow legal professionals to develop strategies to enhance client experience and efficiency.
  • Comply with detailed work processes and procedures to ensure consistent services for every client.
  • Work with fellow team members to ensure complete legal services for each client.
  • Act as witnesses and notary public for document signings.

  • Ability to work in the Millsboro, Delaware office.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced: 2 years of experience with estate and trust administration matters in Delaware and/or Maryland.

Background/Experience/Education Requirements
  • 2 years of relevant work experience, including legal assistant preferred.
  • Experience facilitating client meetings via telephone or presenting to clients in person.
  • Completion of Associate's degree or higher required.
Salary/Benefits: We value our team and offer competitive benefits, including health insurance reimbursement, bonus potential, paid holidays, time off, 401(K) plan, life insurance, and short-term disability. Starting compensation is $60,000, commensurate with experience.
