• Master’s Degree preferred
• MA Licensure as Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (Prek-8 and/or 5-12) or Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities (All)
• Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification
• Two years of relevant experience in a school based setting preferred
• Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education and Student Support Services and Building Principals
JOB GOAL: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will consult, collaborate, and provide services and training to support staff and families to improve the educational experience for students with intensive social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs.
Performance Responsibilities

• Observes target students in a variety of settings for purposes of both data collection and to provide consultation to team members, regarding curriculum, instruction, and behavior programs.
• Conducts and interprets evaluations including report writing as per Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Facilitates the transition planning for students with significant social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, from grade to grade, building to building.
• Ensures effective implementation of all school and home programming for students.
• Provides direct instruction, training, and support to staff and families.
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Participates in school and district teams as needed.
• Effectively manages caseload and prepares and submits all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Ensures that methodologies are evidence-based and reflect the most recent research.
• Designs behavioral programs and interprets data from those programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations and School Committee policies.
• Performs other reasonable duties assigned by the Director of Special Education and Student Support Services and School Principals.
