AtWork Personnel is Hiring an Environment, Health and Safety Manager Near Las Vegas, NV

AtWork Personnel is currently partnering with an exceptional Production/Manufacturing Company in Las Vegas, NV who is looking for an experienced Environmental Health, Safety & Quality Manager to join their Leadership Team. This role will be responsible for implementing & administration of all EHS & Quality programs as well as ensure safe practices and compliance with regulatory mandates and institutions. Additionally, the manager will institute TQ (Total Quality) principles, process and tools to improve both product and service quality.

Compensation - $90-110K/Plus Full Benefits Package

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Company culture regarding Safety, Environmental, and Quality initiatives.
  • Direct and maintain regulatory assessments and compliance with Federal, State, and local health, safety, environmental regulations.
  • Develop measures to address ergonomics, air quality, and other aspects of workplace safety that could affect the health and well-being of employees.
  • Develop key process indicators (KPI’s) and measure improvements through Statistical Process Control
  • Participate in new hire Safety & Quality orientation training.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA laws and best-in-class Safety techniques and processes.
  • Proven experience developing effective quality systems.
  • Experience with Production as it relates to quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process, and finished goods
  • Experience developing, implementing, assessing, and managing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems regarding QA/QC.
  • Experience setting quality assurance objectives and ensuring targets are met.
  • Proven experience with identifying and implementing quality and performance improvements throughout the organization.
  • Experience developing, implementing, communicating, and maintaining a quality plan that ensures the Company’s quality systems and policies are compliant with quality system requirements.
  • The ability to effectively interact with inter-company departments to maintain product supply and help introduce new products and procedures to production employees.
  • Proven experience performing root cause, containment, and corrective action for quality defects

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science or engineering field
  • 7 years prior experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing setting – print environment preferred but not required
  • Experience leading a strong culture initiative in regard to Safety and Quality practices.
  • Experience training direct reports and production employees in techniques/procedures
  • ASQ or CQM certification desired
  • Six Sigma training and experience strongly desired
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO preferred
  • Experience in Quality Systems Audits
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory (OSHA) and or ISO 9000 and 9001 helpful, but not required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Minitab desired
