Looking for a leader to join a small SWAT team to help lead the transformation of a Tier 1 Investment Bank in the journey of hybrid cloud. Using your experience with tools like Terraform and Consul to manage cross cloud deployments, we will be building the foundation of a multi-regional, multi-cloud zero trust network that will become the future platform for the organization. You will have access to senior management both with the client and our partners like HashiCorp and Snowflake.

This is a singular opportunity to showcase the best in DevOps & DevSecOps to implement significant change and to build a distributed, world-class team. While this is primarily a leadership role, you will still be expected to have hands on the keyboard to demonstrate key concepts, facilitate adoption, and accelerate delivery.

Your role will require extensive experience in: 

• Understanding of how to build “zero-trust” using Envoy, Consul, and Vault for mutual TLS and cross cloud gateways
• Leading teams in “infrastructure-as-code” using Terraform with Ansible or Salt (experience with Terraform Enterprise or Cloud a plus) 
• Working with a service mesh and how to enable canary/blue-green to expedite delivery and embrace change
• Experience using the strangler pattern via reverse proxy and supporting distributed systems (Envoy a bonus)
• Solid understand of DNS, TCP, CDN, VCP and the rest of modern networking and security architectures
• Opinionated in regards to monitoring, tracing, and logging and how to roll out SaaS solutions like DataDog vs build-your-own with Prometheus 
• Deep experience with one cloud platform and understanding of the others
• Expertise in bridging public and private cloud environments
• Aligning build, test, and deploy processes to enable shift-left and fail-early strategies
• Experience working with global companies with an understanding of related data, compliance, and security concerns
• Expertise in related technologies like working like monitoring tools to create a single pane of glass for management and development teams
