About the role
As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and persuasive content. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a range of materials, from website copy to emails, sales collateral, and more. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to convey the unique value propositions of ShipEngine's products and services. As a Copywriter with a minimum of 2 years of experience, you'll be a crucial force on our Copy team. Located in the heart of Austin, Texas, you'll contribute to our Global Expansion initiatives, amplifying our brand presence worldwide.
What will you be doing?

• Develop and produce high-quality, customer-centric copy for various channels, including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
• Write clear, concise, and engaging copy that speaks directly to ShipEngine's target audience.
• Conduct in-depth research to understand the needs and challenges of ShipEngine's customers.
• Work closely with product, marketing, and design teams to transform ShipEngine's impressive features and benefits into clear, engaging copy that excites customers and drives sales.
• Develop creative concepts and headlines that grab attention and drive engagement.
• Maintain a strong understanding of SEO best practices and implement them in all written content.
• Stay on top of industry trends and translate them into compelling content that resonates with the audience.
• Work collaboratively with designers and other marketing team members to ensure seamless content integration across all channels.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in Saas, logistics, ecommerce, technical, or B2B environments.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a portfolio showcasing a range of writing styles.
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and accessible content for a diverse audience.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to optimize content for search engines.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A customer-obsessed practitioner, understanding that all decisions must align with customer needs, and experiences, and leads towards finding a solution.

What will make you stand out?

• Minimum 2 years of experience in copywriting
• Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
