Roles And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and backend solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using languages and frameworks such as Python/Django, Node.js/Express, Ruby on Rails, or similar.
- Develop and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL databases) and queries to support application requirements.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, data security, and user access controls.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend application functionality and enhance user experience.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
- Monitor and optimize backend performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and ensuring high availability and uptime.
- Document code, technical specifications, and system architecture.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement best practices and improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (relevant experience and certifications may substitute).
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing backend development projects.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, Java, or PHP.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, Express.js, Ruby on Rails, Spring Boot, Laravel, etc.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs and web services integration.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
