Roles And Responsibilities
- Network Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access control (NAC) systems.

- Security Monitoring: Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and security breaches; analyze and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Access Control: Manage network access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption protocols to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Security Policy Enforcement: Enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network security infrastructure, configurations, and incident reports; prepare and present security status reports to management.
- Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to educate and promote security awareness across the organization; provide guidance and training on security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security) preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and practices.
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks), VPN solutions, IDS/IPS systems, and network monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and implementing security controls.
- Solid knowledge of encryption algorithms, authentication protocols, and security compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
