ResponsibilitiesJob Description:
  • Strategic Research Leadership:
    • Define and execute a strategic UX research roadmap aligned with product and business objectives, identifying key research priorities and opportunities.
    • Provide thought leadership on UX research methodologies, best practices, and emerging trends, driving continuous improvement in research processes and practices.
  • Research Project Management:
    • Lead and oversee complex UX research projects, from planning and study design to execution, analysis, and reporting.
    • Establish clear research objectives, methodologies, and success criteria, ensuring research activities deliver actionable insights to inform product decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate user insights into product development processes.
    • Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and ideation sessions to generate innovative design solutions and drive consensus on product direction.
  • User-Centered Design Advocacy:
    • Advocate for user-centered design principles and methodologies across the organization, promoting a culture of empathy, curiosity, and user advocacy.
    • Influence product strategy and roadmap decisions based on user research insights, ensuring products meet the needs and expectations of target users.
  • Research Documentation and Reporting:
    • Synthesize and communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and product teams.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling research reports, presentations, and deliverables that effectively communicate the impact of UX research on product development.
  • Mentorship and Leadership:
    • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level researchers, providing guidance on research methodologies, analysis techniques, and career development.
    • Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity, creativity, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), psychology, sociology, anthropology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of experience in UX research, human factors, usability testing, or related fields.
    • Proven track record of leading and executing strategic UX research initiatives in a corporate or agency setting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in a wide range of UX research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, with advanced proficiency in data analysis techniques.
    • Strong data visualization skills, with experience using tools such as Tableau, D3.js, or Adobe Illustrator to present research findings.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
    • Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive consensus, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
