Augment Jobs is Hiring an UX Researcher Near New York, NY

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced UX Researcher to join our dynamic product team. The UX Researcher will be responsible for conducting user research, gathering insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations that inform the design and development of user-centered products and experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methods, usability testing, and user behavior analysis. This role requires a passion for understanding user needs, empathy for user experiences, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and impactful user interfaces.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • User Research:
    • Plan and conduct user research activities, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies.
    • Gather qualitative and quantitative data to uncover user needs, motivations, behaviors, and pain points.
    • Use research findings to create user personas, user journey maps, and other artifacts that articulate user insights.
  • Usability Testing:
    • Design and execute usability testing sessions to evaluate product prototypes and existing features.
    • Analyze usability test results, identify usability issues, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to iterate on designs based on usability findings.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyze quantitative data, such as web analytics and user metrics, to identify trends and patterns in user behavior.
    • Synthesize qualitative research findings into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for product enhancements.
    • Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to advocate for user-centered design principles.
    • Communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to cross-functional teams to influence design decisions.
    • Collaborate on ideation sessions, design sprints, and brainstorming activities to generate innovative solutions based on user research insights.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX research and design.
    • Contribute to the evolution of UX research methodologies, tools, and processes within the organization.
    • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on UX research techniques and best practices.
