What we are looking for…

August Schell is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Mid-Level Capture Manager with a primary focus on proposal writing. This position offers a chance to play a pivotal role in our business development efforts and contribute to our continued growth and success.

What you will do...

• Lead the development of high-quality proposals in response to government solicitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, technical, and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop compelling proposal content.
• Write, edit, and format proposal sections, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of proposal drafts to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with customer needs and objectives.
• Manage proposal timelines, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely submission and adherence to proposal requirements.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and developments related to proposal writing and capture management.
• Develop and execute capture strategies to win new business opportunities in alignment with company objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities and inform capture strategies.
• Additional duties as assigned.

What you will bring…

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in proposal writing, capture management, or related roles, preferably in the federal contracting or IT industry.
• Proven track record of writing winning proposals and securing contracts in a competitive environment.
• Strong understanding of proposal development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy, even under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Stand out with…

• Strong understanding of the federal procurement process, including FAR and DFARS regulations.
• Experience in researching and analyzing federal government procurement opportunities to identify viable contract opportunities.
