Position Description
A Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) is a physical therapist participating in a postgraduate training program and is expected to complete the program within twelve months. Requirements include clinical hours treating patients, participating in mentoring sessions, didactic education, and other various educational opportunities. The PTR also has the same general duties and responsibilities as other physical therapists. Responsibilities include providing direct care to patients with varied diagnoses and supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Caseloads may consist of patient care across the lifespan in varied practice settings. Receives supervision on workload, documentation, productivity, adherence to policy, and quality. Provides supervision to rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students.
Position Requirements
Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. Current American Heart Association, Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Georgia State Physical Therapy License

Previous experience.
