Aureon Consulting is actively searching for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer. Candidates can be located in Baton Rouge, LA; Des Moines, IA; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Chicago, IL, and must be open to a hybrid work schedule.

Role Overview

The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing Azure architecture, components, and environments. The role requires experience managing cloud environments through scripting and coding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture best practices, cloud security, and cloud infrastructure monitoring and tuning.

Experience and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience (5 years) in Azure cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Azure services such as:

• Virtual Machines
• Storage
• Private Link Services
• App Services
• Azure AD/Entra
• Azure DevOps

Additional Technical Skill Needed:

• Experience monitoring Azure environments using Azure Monitor.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and BICEP.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and security.

Certifications:

• Relevant Azure cloud certifications in administration, security, or engineering.

Additional Skills Required:

• Experience with build systems and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within a DevOps framework.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
