Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Description & Requirements
~$1480.00-$1720.00 in weekly taxable income
~$37.00/hr-$43.00/hr*
Estimate assumes an 8 hour shift. Hourly rate may change based on shift length.
~$1162.00 in non-taxable stipend*
Actual amount subject to eligibility and seasonal/annual adjustments
Job Description: - The Registered Radiologic Technologist is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility of patients for a designated time frame and to provide care, specifically in the Heart & Vascular Institute. -The patient population consists of those requiring an invasive cardiology or invasive radiology study. -The Registered Radiologic Technologist will assist the physician in all procedures and provide a valuable service to the patient and the team. Essential Functions: -Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physician's request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions. -All functions and duties will be under the direct supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist. -Assists with inventory/supplies. -Checks for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position. -Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc. -Assists in instruction of new staff as necessary. -Documents accurately and completely. -Explains procedure to patient and provides for patient care- including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality. -Accurately informs procedural nurse of correct doses of intra-procedural medications, radiation and sponge/sharp counts. -Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs. -Performs all essential functions of the Radiologic Technologist. Department-Specific Job Functions: -Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures. -Administers and with holds contrast and treatment as appropriate. -Assess patients for allergies. -Can pull supplies for procedures. -Takes late shift duties as assigned to meet department needs. -Skin suturing. -Basic knowledge of ECG interpretation. -Electrophysiology equipment troubleshooting. -Understanding and running the pacing stimulator during ablations and EP studies.
