Aurex Group is currently working with a Tier 1 global Private Equity firm and their associated Portfolio Company seeking an M&A Associate to join their Energy team in Houston.

Candidates must have prior experience within a bank or energy corporate.

Overview:

• Work with a global team looking at investment opportunities across the traditional energy sector
• Perform financial, valuation, and investment analysis; strong modeling skills are required
• Prior experience in a financial services firm, or investment bank considered a plus
• Must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented with >3 years years of experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy/corporate finance, or similar financial services fields within the energy sector
• Strong financial modeling capabilities
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
