Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We’re searching for a Staff Hardware Test Engineer.
In this role, you will
  • Troubleshoot and root cause field failures
  • Design an embedded HIL fault injection system
  • Provide Electrical/Computer System expertise to other VnV teams
  • Troubleshoot and root cause VnV failures
  • Plan, evaluate, and purchase required test equipment for testing
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Similar
  • Python Experience (Automate tedious tasks, Analyze data, Work within larger testing frameworks)
  • Working knowledge of electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, DAQs
  • Working knowledge of environmental test equipment including environmental chambers, vibration tables, strain gauges, accelerometers, thermocouples
  • Hands on experience with root cause analysis of electromechanical designs
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Willing to travel to test sites (Texas)
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Bazel build automation
  • Experience working in the field on vehicles
The base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $261,000. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
