This role involves a balance of 50% in-office/court and 50% remote work.
Responsibilities
•Represent clients in court hearings and provide legal advice in family law matters in Austin, TX, US.
•Ensure timely updates are accessible to team members by maintaining well-organized files.
•Offer conflict resolution advice, analyze legal issues, and negotiate on behalf of clients specializing in family law.
•Draft various legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and settlement agreements.
•Effectively communicate with clients and paralegals to facilitate efficient case management.
Qualifications
•A minimum of 2-3 years of experience handling family law cases specifically in Texas is required and cannot be negotiated.
•Successful completion of the bar exam and possession of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is mandatory.
•Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA) is a prerequisite for this position.
•Admission to the Texas Bar is an essential requirement.
•Proof of holding a valid Texas Driver's License and automobile insurance is mandatory.
•Proficiency in accurately tracking billable hours is a crucial skill.
•Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential, with an ability to quickly grasp new software.
•Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and reliability are key attributes we seek.
