We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Surgeon to join our team in Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified surgeon to provide high-quality care in both emergent and scheduled settings.

Position: General Surgeon

Location: Illinois

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Valid Illinois State License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in General Surgery
• DEA License
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) License

Typical Day:

• Accept inpatient referrals and admissions from emergency departments
• Handle occasional patient transfers
• Perform appropriate surgeries on both an emergent and scheduled basis (scopes required)
• Take call every 2 days (usually 2 consecutive weekdays with weekend coverage from Friday to Monday morning)
• Accept daytime admissions
• Manage outpatient and inpatient referrals from primary care and other providers
• Collaborate with other inpatient physicians and surgery providers in the group

Schedule:

• Estimated Shifts per Month: 14
• Full Privileges Available

• APP/Mid-Level Coverage Available
• Days to Credential: 90
