The Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization's fundraising efforts, supporting donor relations, and contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the Autism Society of America. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and a proactive team player.

Key Responsibilities:

GIFT ENTRY:

  • Acknowledgements (Thank You and Tax Letters) for donors and corporate partners.
  • Database updates

Fundraising Campaigns:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and sponsors to expand financial support.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and mandatory donor databases: Salesforce, Excel, and Outlook; tracking contributions, interactions, and relevant information.
  • Generate reports and analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.

Donor Relations:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing donors, providing regular updates on organizational activities and expressing gratitude for their support.
  • Implement donor stewardship strategies to enhance donor retention and engagement.

Development Management:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Event Planning and Coordination: 2.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, coordinating logistics, managing RSVPs, and ensuring a positive experience for participants.
  • Explore new opportunities for virtual and in-person events to engage the community and increase fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and databases.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
