Description

The Residential Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the treatment plans of individuals receiving residential services to enable them to achieve maximum independence and self-direction in their home and engagement and success in the community. The Residential Services Coordinator also provides oversight for all operations of the residential home.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with Regional Director, families and guardians regarding all matters related to service provision and operation of the home and follows established communication timelines for responding to communication
  • Responsible for ensuring that staffing schedules adhere to parameters set within the annual budget as well as all regulations set forth by the Department of Labor, while also ensuring that staffing ratios meet the needs of all individuals residing within the home.
  • Provides onboarding of new staff and arranges cross training as needed on the implementation of goals and strategies for each of the residents of the home as well as processes and procedures within the home
  • Provides oversight in the arrangement of annual and supplemental in-person trainings for all staff working within the residential setting
  • Ensures proper tracking and arrangement of medical, dental, and ancillary health care services including for individuals receiving services. Monitors Medication Administration Records, ensuring that medication is dispensed as prescribed and all necessary documentation is maintained in physical and/or electronic files
  • Reviews documentation of all services provided to residents of the home for compliance, accuracy, and quality, including, but not limited to, daily grids, behavioral data sheets, and incident reports
  • Oversees the Medical and Financial Records for all individuals residing in the home
  • Oversees the documentation of contact with family/guardians/ LRPs, Care Coordinator, DHSR, and other entities
  • Ensures that the physical residence is maintained and adheres to all regulatory requirements to maintain licensure.
  • Ensures compliance with fire and disaster drills and adherence to emergency and crisis plans and procedures
  • Assists CFO and DOS with the development of budget of the home and monitors and maintains adherence to budget. Notifies CFO and DOS of any circumstances that impact the budget or require substantive changes to the budget of the home.
  • Coordinates treatment planning meetings and progress assessment meetings with Autism Services Coordinators and individuals treatment teams, and provides feedback, and recommendations for the development or revision of goals and strategies based upon experience delivering services to individuals
  • Contributes to the mission of the Autism Society of NC by providing support and promoting opportunities which enhance the lives of individuals within Autism Spectrum and their families.
  • Ensures services are provided with a commitment to CQLs basic assurances of health and safety and works to meet the personal outcomes of individuals we support.
  • Provides direct instruction, supervision, support and/or assistance to individuals receiving residential services to achieve goal targets related to the development of communication skills, social interaction skills, positive behavior management, self-care skills, and other identified goal areas as prescribed on service plans and/or behavioral support plans. These responsibilities shall comprise no less than 25% of total work hours.
  • Completes all required electronic documentation of services through electronic health records system (OnTarget) within 24 hours of service provision as well as any additional documentation pertaining to service delivery as assigned.
  • Participates in Autism Society events such as mini-conferences, trainings, conferences, etc. as assigned..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Additional Information

  • Office automation/personal computer skills, including fluency with Microsoft Office products
  • Occasional travel within the region and occasional travel to other sites throughout the state.
  • Attendance at assigned conferences, meetings, and professional development activities

Qualifications


Must possess a valid NC Drivers license, a safe driving record and an acceptable level of automobile liability insurance. If drivers license is from outside North Carolina, must obtain a NC license within 60 days of establishing permanent residence. Must have a criminal background check which reveals no health and safety risk to service participants

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in the field of human services with 2 years of experience in providing 24 hour services for individuals with I/DD, or Masters Degree in field of experience, and at least 1 year of experience with services for individuals with I/DD.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversight of operations within licensed 24 hour residential facility.
