As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, brake repairs, etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Perform thorough inspection of vehicles and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify potential issues and make appropriate repairs.
- Collaborate with other repair team members to ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the service bay.
- Keep accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus.
- A valid driver's license.
